One stream of work has involved making objects from degradable materials, that I can place outside in the natural landscape and allow to break down. They become useable environments for decomposers. Earlier works were often hinged or openable so I could observe new inhabitation or growth more closely. However this revisiting soon began to feel like too much of an imposition so thereafter objects were placed, and given over to natural processes. They latterly represent a symbolic mysticism generated in imagination where life, death and decomposition connect to some quasi-spiritual sense of nature. The Lunar project is the most recent manifestation of this.
