The work has always attempted to deal with the relationship between 'humans'  and their Natural environment, both at the manifest level of direct interaction, and then in an evolutionary sense in terms of consciousness, where our sense of self emerges from  some pre-conscious sentient experience of Nature, as a resource continuous with that experience. The 'Sentient archive...' is an example of this idea.

  Below are examples of earlier works, precursors to the above, whereby attending to details in different Natural phenomena through study and quasi-scientific rationalisation, engender both creative and destructive forms of representation.
